Following the success of the Spring Event held in February, the 2013 CaSSU co-host societies (UCL + Imperial) organised another event at the start of the new academic year. The aim of the event on Saturday 16 November was to gather as many Catholic students from as many universities as possible to meet each other, learn and talk together as well as having fun around London. On Sunday 17 November, we held discussion sessions and training workshops for committee members responsible for running Catholic Societies at their universities.

 

The programme for the weekend was as follows:

 

Saturday 16 November

0900 - Meet outside Brompton Oratory
1000 - Mass at the Oratory
1100 - Tour of the Oratory
1200 - Lunch
1300 - Museum visits - Science, Natural History or V & A Museums
1600 - Refreshments at the Oratory
1700 - Talk at Imperial College London Chaplaincy (Speaker: Eve Farren)
1900 - Barbecue at Imperial
2100 - Delegates stay overnight at St Aloysius youth centre, students go home

 

Sunday 17 November

 

1030 - Mass at Newman House

1200 - Lunch

1300 - Workshop and discussion session for delegates

1630 - Refreshments

1700 - Talk by Fr Stephen Wang
